Business Analyst
Department/Location: Finance/Support Center
FLSA Status: Exempt
General Purpose of the Position: Assist in the preparation, analysis, and distribution of the financial statement package. Responsibilities include follow-up to inquiries made regarding issued financial statements, as well as special projects assigned by management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the month-end closing and distribution of monthly financial statements.
- Perform detailed financial statement analyses, including discussions on various issues.
- Manage acquisition accounting and related service issues.
- Assist Financial Services Supervisor with audit related issues and projects.
- Serve as liaison to location managers, assisting them with accounting related service issues.
- Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, franchisees, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
- Conform to all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Must possess analytical skills.
- Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Must be detail oriented.
Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:
Accounting software, 486 PC, Windows based spreadsheets/word processing package Limited DOS skills,
ability to use various company software packages.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Account or Finance plus five years of audit/or related corporate experience.
